Christian living

Tirivakundi ( We are conquerors)

Esau’s  life was far from fair. Esau’s blessings were stolen by his brother, Jacob. Esau’s father, Isaac, was deceived by Jacob and all he had left for Esau was just a word. The blessing made Jacob very prosperous and he ruled over his older brother Esau. This pained Esau, he only had a word of prophecy to hold on to.

Genesis 40: 40 By your sword you shall live,
    and you shall serve your brother;
but when you grow restless
    you shall break his yoke from your neck.”                                                                               This word told Esau that eventually, after working very hard -restless- , he shall break the yoke of bondage of Jacob. Esau held onto it, and after many, many years, he reconciled with his brother, and Jacob submitted to Esau, fulfilling the word.

The devil is present in our life to 1. Steal    2. Kill   3. Destroy. However, we as Christians -a chosen generation- should never lose hope but we must hold on to the word of God that speaks good into our lives.

conquerorsFor this verse to be fulfilled, we must have challenges to overcome for us to be victorious and life is full of  them. Although they may seem impossible, worry not, because you were already declared a conqueror at the cross. You have already won the fight.

Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine.
