Not in your comfort zone

We’ve all run before and we all know that the burning sensation that you get from running isn’t favourable. Hence not all of us are pro Athletes. That burning sensation is what top athletes thrive from. Nothing great ever came from the comfort zone and this is what any successful person has understood.

Genesis 12: Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonours you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”         In the verses above, God asked Abram to leave his homeland, his comfort zone,  and he promised him great and wonderful things. If Abram had stayed in his comfort zone then he wouldn’t be known as the father of nations. From this, the secret to success, the secret to achieving great and wonderful things is revealed to us: leave your comfort zone.

You cannot expect to ace your exams if you’re not going to sacrifice your comfort and put in the extra time to study. You cannot expect to get better at a sport if you’re not going  to push yourself to greater limits when you train. Great things happen outside the comfort zone. Be bold enough to step outside your comfort zone and you will be marvelled by the results.

*“In my classes I strongly urge students to learn to take risks, to be bold, to let their genius convert that fear into power and brilliance.”
