Imagine you are running. You don’t really know where you are running to but you think you’ll know when you get there. Then, all of a sudden, you trip and you fall. As a result, you have lost momentum and possibly the little direction that you had before. Getting up is going to take some time and success will probably never be achieved.
Now imagine the same scenario, but the only difference is that you are fully aware of where you are and where you are going. In this case, falling will only be a speed bump. It will slow you down, but it will not stop you. It will give you the opportunity to improve your running technique to keep you going. In such a case, it’s not a question of ‘if’ but rather when success will be achieved.
This is why it is so important to have a vision, not only for your year, but for your life. The vision for your life comes from the good Lord Himself.
Joseph had a vision that was given to him in a dream. From that vision, Joseph was certain that no matter what may come, he was going to be a great man, according to the vision he was given by God. The prophet Habakkuk was also given a vision. God also told him that it will surely come to pass, even though it may seem like has delayed; it will come to pass at God’s appointed time.
What’s your vision?
